This month at Jolt

What an amazing month at CrossFit Jolt! A huge congratulations to everyone who competed in our 2nd Annual Jolt Olympics—the energy, teamwork, and effort from all the teams made it an event to remember. 💪🔥

September is shaping up to be a strong month, and we can’t wait to see what’s next!


Foundations Classes

Starting this month, we’re adding Foundations Classes for newer members who want to slow things down and focus on technique. These lower-intensity sessions will cover key CrossFit movements with barbells, dumbbells, kettlebells, and more—perfect for building confidence and sharpening skills.

A follow-up email with more details and sign-up info will be coming soon—stay tuned!

Important Dates

September 11th:
Join us during your regular class time as we honor the lives lost and heroes of September 11th with a special 9/11 Memorial WOD.

September 27th, 9:00 AM:
One class, in celebration of the International Day of Sign Languages (Sept. 23), we’ll be learning American Sign Language signs for common CrossFit movements—and using them in the workout! There’s only one rule: no speaking allowed 🤫.

Chris Dick

When did you start CrossFit?

Not exactly sure but about 3 years ago.

Why CrossFit? Did you do any other sports in the past?

I did running and tennis before starting CrossFit. What I like about CrossFit is that it's a more complete workout. It works muscles I didn't know I had.

What is your favorite movement?

I'm more of a cardio guy so rowing and biking are better for me.

What do you like the most about CrossFit Jolt?

I like the people best.

Do you have a goal that you want to accomplish this year?

My goal is to always show up. I try not to worry about the workouts (for example I hate OHS), but I try to always show up.

Would you rather do 500 Burpees or 500 Pull-Ups?

Ha! Tough choice - guess I have to go with burpees.  Couldn't do 500 pull ups. Got a shot with burpees given enough time (days)!
