This month at Jolt

A huge thank you to everyone who came out for our Deaf Awareness Month WOD—it was powerful, fun, and a reminder that fitness is truly for everyone. 💛👏

We also wrapped up our strength cycle with tons of new PRs—seriously, you all crushed it.  Now we’re shifting gears into an endurance cycle. Get ready for more running, rowing, and longer workouts that will test your grit, build your engine, and keep you moving strong.

Important Date

October 31st, 6:30am, 9:30am, and 5:00pm:
Halloween WOD 🎃 Make sure to dress up, there will be a special award for the best costume! No 6pm class.

When did you start CrossFit?

I did CrossFit for a while a few years ago, but I started again September 2024 and have been going consistently since. 

Why CrossFit? Did you do any other sports in the past?

I like CrossFit for three main reasons: first, I benefit from external motivation and instruction, and CrossFit is much more affordable than hiring a personal trainer; second, I enjoy the variety of movements and workouts in CrossFit; and third, I like the people and the camaraderie. I have been athletic all my life, participating casually in team sports and more avidly in extreme sports such as skateboarding, hiking, and canoeing.

What is your favorite CrossFit memory? What is your least favorite CrossFit memory?

While I don’t have a particular favorite CrossFit memory, I love the sense of progress and accompanying achievement. Over the past year, my life has changed for the better in no small part thanks to CrossFit! My least favorite is hitting my shin on the box when I mess up a box jump. 

Do you have a goal that you want to accomplish this year?

My goal over the next year is to get strong and toned. Overall, I want to be an able body and achieve my greatest physical prime. 

Would you rather do 500 Burpees or 500 Toes-to-Bar?

If I had to choose, then I’d prefer to do 500 burpees over 500 toes-to-bar.
